About this event
In this wild plant and mushroom workshops enjoy walking the land, harvesting edibles… followed by a shared meal, if you wish to stay on! This class will focus on foraging what we plan to eat: Morel & Dryads Saddle mushroom, Fiddle head, Dandelion, Ramps, Wild Garlic, Chick Weed, Nettles, Winter Cress. Sassafras leaves, Mallow leaves, Wild Violets, If the Morel don’t sprout up here this season, they will be procured from local foragers…so count on some Morel!
We will fire up the Earth Oven and make individual pizzas with our mushrooms and foraged plants, and create a beautiful, tasty wild greens side-salad!
Both wheat and gluten free dough will be available. A cooking tutorial on mushrooms is part of the event, and you’ll get to really experience the Earth Oven!
Stay on for a bonfire after the meal if you wish.
