The Japaneses Square Knot and others provide a base of techniques that can be applied to many protects and situations!

Enjoy getting comfortable with these knots, make a full scale ladder and a few small “model” projects to take home: The Tripod, A Frame and Quad Pod can be the basis for little shelters, picnic table & other cool things. And…I love ladders! A dream come true, making them. We will put together a full scale ladder together that you can try out.  The poles and sticks for the lashing projects have all been harvested on site.

You can then share your knot and lashing skills with others, with youth. Fun!

We will follow the current covid guidelines that the MI Folk School uses. Masks and distancing indoors, distancing outdoors. We will likely be around the campfire outside, or the Strawbale Studio woodstove. If you don’t feel well, stay home and receive a full refund.
