The Strawbale Studio has diverse activities on-site and off, where you can learn and participate in Natural Building & Sustainable Life Skills of all kinds ! 

Below is info on the Friday, Jan 2, 2026 Full Moon Potluck.  For the future, if you want to be informed of the in-person Full MOON POTLUCKS and ONLINE Full MOON ZOOMS  (I don’t post either of them on my website)  SIGN UP  on the front page strawbalestudio.org to get on the Email Listserve.  These 2 activities are not listed on the website, and are by invitation only through the Email Listserve.

WEATHER UPDATE:  As of 1:30p 1/1/2025, 
There is a few inches of snow on the drive, and we will pack down tire tracks.  For parking in the first meadow on the right…
you might want to carpool with someone with 4 or All Wheel Drive. The roads were snowy on Thursday, and ok…but that can change quickly. 
We could pick up folks at the Meijers parking lot to avoid being on the back roads & parking here. There are 4 parking spaces by the house for Special Needs.

     Friday Jan 2,  2026  5p -11p  Potluck go-around at 6 p.   (The full moon is Saturday, but I though more folks could come Friday)

           (Mark your calendar for next months potluck ~ expected to be Monday Feb 2 2026, since there is a workshop here on Feb 1,)

     NOTE new winter hours so its not so dark for arrival. 

  • 5p -5:30p  arrival  if you can.  Get settled in for our 6 p POTLUCK!
  • 6p   Go-around & start of the Potluck. Bring something to share ! Label food ingredients, especially parsley, gluten, meat.
  • 7p  Evening Options:  Bonfire, Strawbale Studio & Main house. Make music, enjoy conversation and being together in a nurturing setting! .Watch the moon rise.  This is a safe, family-friendly event!
  • 11pm Closing time

  • PARK in the first North grassy area on the right.  More parking straight ahead in the south meadow.  If Weather might be an issue, I will post an email “weather update” to the listserve or on  strawbalestudio.org.   

  • WALK TO THE MAIN HOUSE (big gray green wood house) using the lane or marked path.

  • DROP OFFS can be made at the house, then repark please in the North or South parking areas.

  • SPECIAL NEEDS: There are 2–3 special needs parking spots up by the house.  Park tight together. FACING NORTH. So cars can get in and out.

  • KEEP LANES OPEN, make sure all cars CAN GET OUT when they want. Let Deanne know if there needs to be any adjustments so all can come and go freely.
