This building technique is a combination of clay & water (slip) and straw, tamped into removable or permanent forms.
It can be used to make new exterior or interior wall systems, ceiling insulation, and can be used in retrofitting situations, such as insulating a garage/shop.
The concept was brought to the U.S. by Robert Laporte of “EcoNest” and has become a strategy that is increasingly being used.
