The Great Lakes Herb Faire is an awesome annual event on Sept 6-9. This year in 2024, it celebrated its 10th anniversary!
The Twigloo activity was a great hit with the youth of various ages as they tied together and decorated tipi-like structures on the opening day of the Faire. They harvested some of the things they used in their “Twigloo”.from the near-by woods. Great fun and co-creativity!
Another day, we did “Cording”, the twisting of natural fibers into a cord string. We used day lilly leaves and each person created a corded bracelet.
It is always a pleasure to be able to bring these activities to the youth at the Herb Faire! What a delight.
