It is a joy to be together, and create useful things directly from nature !

December 7th & 8th,  of 2019  Folks came together in the cozy kitchen of the main house …. with the sweet smell of melting beeswax in the air.  First we corded our own wick from paper napkin strips, then began the process of dipping the wick in this amazing medium.

After the relaxing dipping process, and some yummy snacks & tea, we began the sculpting candle holders with and earthen mix of clay/sand subsoil from here on the land. The process was delightful, and the outcome also ! Creative and diverse sculptures  decorated with local birchbark, dried fungi, tiny pine cones, leaves and pods and even pumpkin stems.  What can beautify a matchbox to go with the candle & holder?  Peak at some of the outcomes.
